The Briefcase

A briefcase is not a laptop bag. It is a case with a shape of its own, that stands on the floor beside a chair and does not slump, and that says its owner arrived with something worth carrying. Arandjel's is the kind that used to sit in the racks of the Orient Express.

The Arandjela briefcase will be a hard-shell case in full grain vegetable-tanned leather, hand-sewn in Chicago, with brass fittings and a handle that will take decades of use. It will hold a laptop, but it will not look like it was designed around one.
